"Apparently even the greatest relics have their limitations when one does not know how to properly use them."
Kaecilius[src]

The Capture of the Witch was a mission undertaken by the Masters of the Mystic Arts in order to capture a rogue Witch and the relic she had stolen.

Background

The Witch stole the Dark Scepter and used it to momentarily cast darkness on the British Museum is London, overpowering Wong and causing locals to flee, believing the Dark Elves to have attacked again. Kaecilius then challenged the Witch, believing her to be a novice, but she quickly revealed herself to be a skilled sorceress and defeated him. Kaecilius reunited with Wong, Daniel Drumm, and Tina Minoru, and the four Masters resolved to work together in order to get the Wtich to return the Dark Scepter.[1]

Capture

The Witch arrived at the Royal Observatory, when Kaecilius, Wong, Daniel Drumm, and Tina Minoru appeared, challenging the Witch. The Witch attacked them, but the four Masters of the Mystic Arts defended themselves. The four used their magic to overwhelm the Dark Scepter with magical energies, causing the Witch to be unable to control it. Kaecilius took the Scepter from the Witch.[1]

Aftermath

The Dark Scepter was placed in the New York Sanctum where it could be secretly kept, and guarded by Daniel Drumm,[1] who remained in the Sanctum until his death at the hands of a traitorous Kaecilius.[2]
