The Capture of Agent 33 was a Hydra operation, which resulted in Agent 33 being brainwashed and turned into a lotal Hydra operative.

Background

"Sunil Bakshi gave up some surprising information when we were finding closure with him. He said that you knowingly handed Agent Kara Palamas over to Hydra, that you are the reason she suffered months of torture and mind control at the hands of her enemy."

Following the Hydra Uprising and the fall of S.H.I.E.L.D., Phil Coulson assigned Bobbi Morse to infiltrate Hydra and oversee Jemma Simmons. In order to gain the trust of Hydra members and get herself recruited, Morse gave them the information about S.H.I.E.L.D. Safe House, which was supposed to be abandoned, unaware that Agent 33 was still there.

With Bobbi Morse's intel, Daniel Whitehall and Sunil Bakshi sent the Hydra operatives to the S.H.I.E.L.D. Safe House, where they found Agent 33. She was captured and brought to Hydra Laboratories in Dover, where Whitehall subjected her to the Faustus method to brainwash her. Although Agent 33 did her best to resist the method, Whitehall managed to break her will and turn her into the loyal Hydra subordinate.

Brainwashed by Daniel Whitehall, Agent 33 continued worked for Hydra against S.H.I.E.L.D., up until the altercation at the Ponce de León Theater, when Whitehall was killed by Phil Coulson. Now free from Hydra's control, Agent 33 joined forces with Grant Ward, and together they abducted Sunil Bakshi and subjected him to the Faustus as a retribution. Brainwashed Bakshi revealed to Agent 33 and Ward that Bobbi Morse was the one who provided Hydra with Agent 33's location, which resulted in her capture. After a brief truce with S.H.I.E.L.D., Agent 33 and Ward kidnapped Morse to punish her for what she did, however, it only resulted in Agent 33 being accidentally killed by Ward, during S.H.I.E.L.D. raid.
