Captain Carol Susan Jane Danvers, also known as Captain Marvel, is a former United States Air Force pilot and a Kree-human hybrid. She was summoned by S.H.I.E.L.D. to stop Thor and his party on Earth.
Biography[]
Thor's Invasion[]
The First Battle[]

Carol Danvers received a signal from S.H.I.E.L.D., when Thor and a bunch of extraterrestrial invaders started a destructive party of Earth. Danvers arrived to Paris, appearing right in front of Thor and Loki, demanding Thor to leave the planet. Thor ignored Danvers and had no intention to stop the party, so Danvers responded with a punch in the face, that threw the Asgardian back. Thor withstood a hit and proceeded to mock Danvers, so she landed a powerful uppercut on Thor, recalling what happened to Nick Fury because of him. Before Danvers could tell others to stop the party, Thor responded with hitting her with the Mjølnir.

Danvers and Thor then engaged in a duel, as Thor's strike was powerful enough to send Danvers to Amesbury. Danvers landed roughly against Stonehenge but straightened it out before it fell, however, Thor toppled the structure out of pettiness. Danvers, now thoroughly angered, then punched Thor, sending him to a desert in New Mexico across the Atlantic Ocean and they engaged in another fight. Danvers was able to absorb Thor's lightning and proceeded to hit him into the ground, before throwing him in the air. Thor managed to catch his hammer again, so he and Danvers continued their fight in the air, before both of them fell on the ground back at Paris.

Before Danvers could stand up and continue the fight, she found herself being pinned to the floor with Thor's hammer that he placed on top of her. Despite her power, Danvers was unable to lift the hammer, since it was enchanted that only Thor was able to lift it. Thor then took his hammer back and proceeded to make fun of Danvers again, telling her that she needs a time-out, now that Danvers was not capable to fight. Thor and his partygoers then started to point fingers at her and laugh, while Danvers could only watch in defeat.[1]
A New Plan[]

- "It’s not a bad idea. The Mojave Desert could withstand the hit."
"Lure him to Siberia and then go kaboom on his ass." - ―Maria Hill and Captain Marvel[src]
Danvers then regrouped with S.H.I.E.L.D. at the Helicarrier, as Maria Hill proceeded to criticize Danvers for failing the mission. Danvers argued that if she would exert her full powers, the planet was suffer an immense damage, and taking Thor down would not be worth the fatalities. Darcy Lewis tried to talk with Danvers, much to her annoyance, and jokingly suggested to take Thor to North Dakota and blow him up there. Hill then noted that Mojave Desert could withstand the hit, while Danvers suggested to take Thor to Siberia and continue the fight there. Jane Foster tried to object, however, Hill dismissed her and Lewis from the Helicarrier, as Danvers continued her mission.[1]
Rematch[]

Danvers found Thor at Sydney where he intended to slide down the Sydney Opera House, and forcibly brought him to Siberia. She ignored Thor's pleas to loose up and let them party, while S.H.I.E.L.D. was preparing a nuclear strike from the Helicarrier, in case Danvers fails again. As Danvers and Thor were preparing to fight again, they were interrupted by an illusion of Frigga that appeared between them. Amused Danvers watched Thor trying to excuse himself in front of his mother who announced her arrival on Earth to see what Thor was doing there.

Thor was terrified that Frigga would see the party and begged Danvers for help, but she only suggested him to start cleaning everything he and his partygoers ruined. However, Danvers eventually took pity of Thor and when he managed to clean up before Frigga arrived, Danvers backed up his lie about the cultural exchange, bringing him some educational material. As Thor thanked Danvers for help, she introduced herself to Frigga who also thanked Danvers for helping her son.[1]
