"So, where's the fight?"
―Captain Marvel to Nick Fury[src]

Captain Carol Susan Jane Danvers, also known as Captain Marvel, is a former United States Air Force pilot, a Kree-human hybrid, and personal friend of Nick Fury. Due to Loki's supreme authority over all of humanity, she was summoned by her old friend using the Transmitter Pager. She later joined Fury's new roster of Avengers alongside Captain America and a Black Widow from an alternate universe.

Fury's Ally

In 1995, Carol Danvers befriended Nick Fury and gave him a pager in case he needed her help.[1]

A New Fight

In 2010, Nick Fury used the pager to summon Danvers, who arrived in the Arctic, finding him uncovering the frozen body of Steve Rogers. After he greeted her, she asked him where the fight was.[1]

After Captain America was defrosted from his frozen state, he and Danvers joined forces to fight against Loki and his Asgardian army.[2]

Carol Danvers is a brave and fearless warrior, being prepared for any kind of fight or conflict. She is also extremely loyal to her old friend Nick Fury, coming quickly when he needed her help.

Powers and Abilities

Hybrid Physiology/Cosmic Enhancement: Through her exposure to the Tesseract's extraterrestrial power via the destruction of the Light-Speed Engine, Carol Danvers acquired the ability to produce cosmic energies to no measurable bounds and manipulate them to her needs. Danvers was later granted superhuman strength, speed, endurance, and reflexes following her blood transfusion with a Kree.

  • Superhuman Strength: Danvers possesses superhuman strength. With this, she was able to defeat Humans, Skrulls, Kree, Asgardians and many other species with relative ease, allowing her to overpower a majority of her opponents in combat.
  • Superhuman Durability: Danvers' skin density, muscles, and bones have increased exponentially due to her hybrid influenced physiology.
  • Superhuman Speed: Danvers can move at great superhuman speeds.
  • Superhuman Agility: Danvers has greater agility, dexterity, balance, and body coordination than a regular human being.
  • Superhuman Stamina: Danvers can sustain more physical and mental effort than others species of the universe.
  • Superhuman Reflexes: Danvers can react to as well as dodge objects that travel at high speeds.
  • Regenerative Healing Factor: Due to the Kree blood running through her veins, Danvers can regenerate from injuries much faster than a normal human.
  • Longevity: Due to her Kree blood and cosmic augmentations, Danvers' aging process was extremely reduced, possibly even halted altogether. Her physical age and condition at the time of the assassination of the Avengers are still the same as it was when she got her powers.
  • Energy Absorption: Danvers' body is capable of passively absorbing most forms of energy and transforming it into her signature cosmic energy, which she can then use in a variety of ways. Due to this, Danvers is immune to most energy-based attacks, as she can absorb the energy and use it to strengthen herself.[3]
  • Cosmic Energy Manipulation: Danvers can manipulate cosmic energy. She can also envelope herself within her energy, which emits itself as a glowing aura surrounding her in a form known as Binary.
    • Photon Blasts: Danvers can fashion her cosmic energy into dense powerful photon blasts.
    • Binary Mode: Danvers can harness the power of her cosmic energy to greatly augment her physical attributes in a form referred to as Binary.[4] For Danvers to acquire this state, she must produce a massive amount of cosmic energy to envelope herself within, which manifests as a glowing aura around her. In Binary mode, Danvers became essentially invulnerable and incalculably strong, to the point where she could destroys several Asgardian Skiff by flying straight through it.
      • Self-Sustenance: With her full cosmic power unleashed, Danvers can survive out in the depths of space without any breathing equipment.
      • Flight: Danvers can fly, glide and float through the air and vacuum of space without outside help. She can fly at incredible speed, allowing her to take off into the atmosphere and even outer space and land safely on the planet's surface with ease.

  • Master Combatant: Having been trained for six years by the Kree Empire, Danvers is a highly trained unarmed combatant, as well as an expert of the Kree's unique martial arts.
  • Pilot: As a former member of the USAF, Danvers is a skilled pilot.

  • Starforce Uniform: Danvers possesses a uniform she used on her Kree missions and wears as Captain Marvel.
