Multiverse Discovered
"He discovered that there were universes stacked on top of his own..."
The subject of this article comes from an alternate universe connecting to the main timeline of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

"I got it. There's another way to retake the Tesseract and acquire new Particles. A little stroll down memory lane. Military installation, Garden State."
Tony Stark to Steve Rogers[src]

The "Camp Lehigh Time Heist" Universe is a universe visited by the Avengers during their mission to retrieve the Infinity Stones from different points in history.

History[]

"Clearly you weren't actually born here, right?"
"The idea of me was."

At Camp Lehigh, Steve Rogers became the hero known as Captain America.[1]

Theft of the Space Stone[]

Steve Rogers & Tony Stark (April 7, 1970)

Tony Stark and Steve Rogers enter Camp Lehigh

"Right. Well, imagine you're S.H.I.E.L.D.... running a quasi-fascistic intelligence organization... where do you hide it?"
"In plain sight."

Failing to acquire the Space Stone in a different alternate timeline, Steve Rogers and Tony Stark traveled to this timeline in order to retrieve the stone and acquire more Pym Particles. Arriving just outside of Camp Lehigh, the pair entered the military installation in search of what they came for. Taking an elevator down to the underground section of the base, the two split up, with Rogers going to acquire the particles while Stark searched for the Tesseract. They rode the elevator down with a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent, who became suspicious of them.

Tesseract (1970)

Tony Stark finds the Tesseract

In an underground laboratory, Stark located the Tesseract in a secure container. Cutting it open with a laser from his gauntlet, Stark stored the Tesseract in a briefcase he found nearby. Stark soon met an alternate version of his father who was searching for Arnim Zola. Stark introduced himself to Howard Stark as "Howard Potts", a visitor from MIT.

While initially awkward around his alternate father, "Potts" soon struck up a conversation with him as they headed aboveground. Stark revealed to "Potts" that is wife is expecting, "Potts" responded by telling Stark that he has a daughter. Stark told "Potts" that hoped that his child wouldn't turn out like him, due to his tendency to put his own self interests over the greater good. Before Stark left to see his wife, "Potts" left him with some parting wisdom about fatherhood and embraced him in a hug. Stark then questioned his butler they had met "Potts" before stating that he seemed familiar.[1]

Theft of the Pym Particles[]

Pym Particles (Avengers Endgame)

"Sir, the box is glowing and... to be honest, some of our mail guys aren't feeling great."
"They didn't open it did they?"
"Yeah, they did. You'd better get down here."

Meanwhile in another part of the base, Steve Rogers calls Doctor Hank Pym. Telling Pym that he's Captain Stevens from shipping, "Stevens" informs him that they have package for him that's glowing and causing members of the shipping department to get sick. This causes Pym to rush out of his lab, allowing Rogers to sneak in a steal the Pym Particles he and Tony Stark need to return home.

Peggy Carter (1970)

Steve Rogers watches Peggy Carter

While trying to sneak out of the base, Rogers spots the suspicious S.H.I.E.L.D. agent from before with military police. To evade detection, Rogers slipped into an the office of S.H.I.E.L.D. director Peggy Carter, whom Rogers spotted in the room over. Due to his unrequited love for his universe's Peggy Carter, Rogers began to stare at her until she left the room in search of another S.H.I.E.L.D. agent. Rogers then headed aboveground and signaled to Tony Stark that it was time for them to leave.[1]

Returning the Space Stone[]

"Remember, you have to return the stones at the exact moment you got them. Or you're gonna open up a bunch of nasty alternative realities."
"Don't worry, Bruce. Clip all the branches."
Bruce Banner and Steve Rogers[src]

Upon the Avengers successfully bringing back all of those killed by the Snap, Steve Rogers returned the Space Stone to this reality.[1]
