Biography[]
Possessed[]
Bryce joined Phi Gamma Epsilon, until one night the fraternity's house was visited by Basar, who was possessing Keith Spivey's body. Basar killed everybody in the fraternity and marked Bryce for possession, leading him to get possessed by the demon Magoth.
While Bryce was forced to relive his worst moment on loop, Magoth used his body to make a deal with Aubree and Zoe Richards.[1] He later attacked Daimon Helstrom, who exorcised the demon with help from his sister. Bryce thanked Helstrom for exorcising him before passing out.[2] After he woke up, Bryce and Daimon agreed that it was best if they did not talk to each other. Helstrom also told Bryce to lie to the police when he was questioned about the deaths in his fraternity to protect him.[3]
Newfound Freedom[]
The next day, Bryce visited Daimon Helstrom's office, upset about the death of the rest of his fraternity. Bryce asked whether he was responsible for the deaths, and Helstrom assured him that he was not. He dissuaded Bryce from allowing the incident to drop out of school, and tried to recommend a doctor, upsetting Bryce. Bryce scolded Helstrom, saying that an ethics professor should not do what Helstrom was doing, and stormed off, talking about how traumatized he was by his possession, which Helstrom could not understand.
Bryce was approached by Gabriella Rosetti, introducing herself as a friend of Helstrom's and assuring him that she was not a psychologist, but rather a novitiate. Bryce was upset by this and walked off, saying that he was not religious. When she mentioned demons, Bryce told Rosetti to keep her voice down, and she told him that she had seen another person get possessed by Magoth. Bryce realized that Magoth could possess somebody else, including him, and Rosetti asked him to talk to her so that she could prevent that, and he agreed.
Bryce and Rosetti went to the school's dining hall, and Bryce talked about not thinking demons were real before getting possessed, going on to say that it was not like how it had been depicted in fiction. He talked about not knowing what was happening and being completely cut off from Magoth and his own body, being forced to relive his worst moment. Rosetti talked about how she understood how it felt to learn that the world was not what he thought, and assured him that she and Helstrom would not let anything happen to him.[3]
Personality[]
Bryce's experience getting possessed and the loss of his fraternity made him into an anxious individual desperate for answers. Despite agreeing with Daimon Helstrom that they would not talk to each other and would lie to the police, Bryce broke the agreement the following day, believing himself to be responsible for the people Magoth had killed while possessing him. The guilt and experience of reliving his worst moment repeatedly caused Bryce to spiral, and he considered dropping out of school. He struggled to keep himself together and needed to talk to Gabriella Rosetti to calm down and begin to feel better.
