The Brass Monkey Saloon, also simply referred to as Brass Monkey, is a nightclub located in Lowtown, Madripoor.

Foundation[]
The Brass Monkey Saloon was founded by Selby, and is a popular nightclub located in Lowtown, which frequents many of Madripoor's criminals as the club's patrons. It was frequented by African gangster Conrad Mack, also known as the Smiling Tiger.[1]
Meeting with Selby[]

In 2024, Baron Zemo, Winter Soldier and Sam Wilson, who was posing as Mack, entered the saloon. As Zemo searched for Selby, the bartender recognized "Smiling Tiger", who served him his usual eponymous cocktail. As Selby's bodyguards approached Zemo, Winter Soldier engaged in a brawl with them before being told to stand down as they had to stay in character.
The bartender allowed the three visitors to visit Selby, who quickly discovered "Smiling Tiger" to be an impersonator, before she herself was killed by Sharon Carter. Forced on the run with a bounty on their heads, Zemo, Barnes and Wilson were rescued by Carter and fled Lowtown.[1]

- The Smiling Tiger: An alcoholic cocktail which includes gin, triple sec, an equatorial spitting cobra heart, and a finger lime. It is named after one of the Saloon's most frequent and respected customers, the African gangster Smiling Tiger.[1][2]
- Tuna Tears: An alcoholic beverage consisting of Shaoxing rice wine, muddled big-eye tuna lens, and gently carbonated water.[2]
- Brass Monkey Kumis: An eponymously named beverage made up of mezcal, fermented raw donkey milk, and crushed ice served with a glow stick.[2]

- Fugu: Sliced pufferfish served sashimi-style, with ponzu syrup and serrano chilli.[2]
- Balut: A duck egg aged by seventeen days, served with aged stilton cheese, and garlic crostini.[2]
- Casu Martzu: A casu martzu dish, which is a Sardinian cheese containing live insects, that is served on a baguette with a side of cornichons.[2]
- Ikizukuri: A seafood appetizer consisting of moving fresh octopus, shrimp and mackerel served with rice wine mingonette. It is the only item on the menu that is charged by market price, which varies on the price and quantity of ingredients.[2]
