A Bouncing Betty is an M16 mine designed by Tony Stark.

History[]

Tony Stark designed an M16 mine for Stark Industries to sell under the nickname "Bouncing Betty" after the German mine, though he never saw one in action. The Ten Rings got access to the mine and used them in their Kidnapping of Tony Stark. One such mine killed Jimmy Ryan.[1]

Capabilities[]

When activated, the Bouncing Betty mine is ejected three feet in the air before detonating, resulting in shrapnel spraying in all directions. It was capable of tearing Jimmy Ryan to shreds.
