Bonnie is the cousin of Maya Lopez who lost her cousin when the latter left for New York. Bonnie tried to get over the loss and became an EMT for the Tamaha Fire Department. Nearly twenty years later, Bonnie found out that Lopez had returned to Tamaha, so she tried her best to get to know her again despite Lopez's unwillingness. Bonnie was kidnapped by Wilson Fisk, but Lopez rescued her and decided to allow Bonnie back into her life.

Throughout her childhood, Bonnie had a very special relationship with her deaf cousin, Maya Lopez. One night in 2007, Bonnie and Lopez were playing in a tent by the playscape. Bonnie told the famous story of Chafa, the first Choctaw. Once she finished, Lopez told Bonnie that they were family and sisters. Bonnie corrected her, saying they were cousins. However, Lopez assured her that they were sisters.

A little bit later, everyone had gone inside except the two girls. Suddenly, it started pouring. The girls tried to stay outside, but the rain eventually seeped into the tent, forcing them inside. They ran inside, saying how the rain was seeping into the tent. Lopez then asked her mother for hot chocolate. However, her mother said they were out, so Lopez and her left to get some more from the store. Sadly, they did not come back as Taloa died in a car crash and Lopez was out in the hospital.[1]

Bonnie and Maya Lopez's grandmother, Chula Battiest was so heartbroken by Taloa's death, that she gave up on Maya and her father. This eventually forced the family out of Tamaha and to New York. Battiest held Bonnie as the Lopezes left. Driving away, Maya yelled out the window for Bonnie to come with them. Bonnie wanted to and even ran after the car, only to be stopped by Battiest, forbidding her to go.[1]

In 2018, Bonnie survived the Snap. In 2021, Bonnie heard that her uncle and Maya Lopez's father, William Lopez, passed away. She texted Maya, telling her that she did not have to go through her grief alone. However, she never got a response from her once best friend.[1]

By 2025, Bonnie had become an EMT for the Tamaha Fire Department. One day, she was playing basketball with her colleagues, yelling at her teammate to pass the ball so she could shoot it. When she made the basket, her teammate told her it was a good shot. With the game over, Bonnie walked over to the ambulance and heard a motorcycle in the distance. She turned around and found no one. Later, Bonnie put a bag over her shoulder and walked around the front lot of the Tamaha Fire Station.[1]

Bonnie was working when she heard the radio signal of Biscuits' voice asking for help in fixing Chula Battiest's truck. All that was needed was for someone to buy his Playstation 4. Bonnie answered this radio call and asked what happened to the truck.

Biscuits explained he was doing off-roading. Bonnie was concerned, asking if he was okay. Biscuits said that he, Billy Jack and Maya Lopez were okay. Bonnie paused for a moment but quickly asked if Lopez was in town. Biscuits tried to go back on his slip up and eventually stopped responding. Bonnie tried to get a hold again, pleading with Biscuits not to shut her out of this.[2]

Trying to find answers for Maya Lopez, Bonnie arrived at Black Crow's SkateLife to ask Henry Lopez questions. She tried to open the door, only to find it locked. Confused, she walked around the back. She walked through the halls until she was stopped by Henry. Bonnie said she won't take long but has some questions. As she started talking, she watched as Henry subtly signed to her to leave. Bonnie took this warning and left. Once outside, she tried to grab her radio to call for help, but was grabbed from behind.

Bonnie was tied up by Grace Tyson and Brigitte before being thrown into the closet. Bonnie angrily sat up and turned around only to be shocked by the sight of a tied up Lopez in front of her. As Bonnie struggled to even look at her cousin, Lopez took a blade from her shoe and cut herself out of her ties. She then helped Bonnie out of her cuffs and asked if she was okay. Lopez then peeked out the window at the guards and remarked that they were not rushing. Bonnie asked what they were waiting for.

Lopez then went to look around, causing Bonnie to angrily tell her to stop. Lopez told Bonnie that she was only there for a little bit and saw no sense in disrupting Bonnie's life. Bonnie called bullshit, saying that Lopez could not even look her in the eye. Went Lopez finally looked her way, Bonnie said how she texted her and waited for years, yet she got no reply. She could have helped her after William Lopez's death, but Maya did not care. Bonnie simply told her that she would have been there.

Suddenly, Vickie Tyson, Grace and Brigitte barged in, so Lopez and Bonnie went back to their destinations, pretending to be tied up. Brigitte then pointed her gun at Bonnie, threatening her. When Lopez revealed her open hands, Bonnie did the same, putting them above her head in surrender. While Grace pointed her gun at Lopez, Bonnie spoke up saying she could talk to Lopez for them. Bonnie then signed to Lopez, saying how she heard them talking about someone coming to take Lopez. Bonnie asked what to do only for Lopez to say she was going to punch her. Lopez did this, allowing Bonnie to be dragged out of the storage closet so Lopez could think of a way out by herself.

Outside the closet, Bonnie was strangled by Brigitte before being taken to Henry and tied up next to him. Bonnie then helplessly watched as Vickie talked with Zane and the Black Knife Cartel, who had arrived to take Maya away. Eventually, the lights turned off and the music turned on, signifying Maya's presence. As Maya mowed through the cartel, Zane grabbed Bonnie and held a gun to her head, forcing Maya to surrender.

Bonnie was then held while Zane got Henry and Maya on their knees to kill them. However, Zane got a call from a higher up, telling him to spare them. An annoyed Zane had his men exit, leaving the Lopezes and Bonnie confused. Outside, Maya escorted Bonnie to her truck and apologized for punching her. She then told Bonnie she needed to go, angering Bonnie who wanted answers. Maya just assured Bonnie that her enemies would not hurt her. She asked Bonnie to go home and promised to talk later.[3]

Now having a visible black eye, Bonnie went to the bar and left a seat open for Lopez, hoping she would make it. However, Lopez never showed up, leaving Bonnie to drink alone.[3] As the sunset the next day, Bonnie was cleaning dishes and paused for a moment to reflect.[4]

On the night of the Choctaw Nation Powwow, Bonnie was kidnapped along with Chula Battiest by Kingpin in an attempt to lure Maya Lopez out. In the confrontation, Bonnie and Battiest were escorted out by Kingpin's men to face Lopez, who had come to save them. Panicking, Bonnie was forced to translate Kingpin's words to Lopez and vice versa. She got emotional when Kingpin threatened to kill the entire family. A man then punched Lopez, causing Bonnie to call for Lopez.

However, Lopez stood up, signing to Bonnie to trust her. Lopez then spread out her arms which gave Bonnie power. Bonnie looked at her glowing hands, noticing a spiraling sign on the palms. With her temporary strength and agility given to her by her ancestors, Bonnie fought through the men holding her captive while Lopez finished of Kingpin.[5]

Bonnie joined Henry Lopez, Chula Battiest and Biscuits for lunch the next day and laughed along with the family as Biscuits told a story. Bonnie then smiled even more as she saw Maya Lopez walk around the corner. Bonnie gave Maya a look of reassurance, finally healing the broken family after nearly twenty years.[5]
