Frederick J. "Fred" Dukes[1] was a mutant who lived in the Void under the command of Cassandra Nova. He was later killed by Blade during the Assault on Cassandra Nova's Lair.

Blob opens the entrance to the compound

Fred Dukes was born a mutant with the a heightened level of strength, and due to his excessive weight, he earned the name Blob. Blob was banished to the Void where he became one of Cassandra Nova's henchmen, being placed in charge of opening the entrance to the compound.

Blob witnesses the arrival of the Resistance

When the Resistance commenced an ambush on the compound, Blob witnessed them heading towards in a car with Blade holding a rocket launcher aimed at the entrance. Blob screamed out to the rest of the henchmen, alerting them of the Resistance's arrival, but he was killed in the explosion when Blade fired upon him.[2]

  • In the comics, Blob is a member of the Brotherhood of Mutants who possessed elastic, blubbery skin that granted him increased durability. He was also able to locally manipulate the field of gravity beneath him, which made himself immobile so long as he remained in contact with the ground.
