Hawkeye to Black Widow[src]

Natalia Alianovna "Natasha" Romanoff (Russian: Наталья Алиановна "Наташа" Романова), also known as Black Widow, is a former member of the Avengers and the last surviving human from her reality. As her reward for helping save the Multiverse, Romanoff was sent to a universe where her counterpart was already dead so she could have some semblance of her old life back and help liberate her new world from Loki.

Age of Ultron

Defeated by Ultron

"We're too late. He did it."
―Black Widow[src]

In 2015, Romanoff and Clint Barton went into hiding in Russia after Ultron successfully uploaded his AI to a vibranium body, while the Avengers reached the NEXUS Internet Hub at Oslo, Norway to stop the rouge AI, but failed. Ultron uses his full power to gain access of the nuclear codes and has obliterated the population on Earth.[1]

Journey Through Russia

While Romanoff and Barton are on route in Russia, they were attacked by Ultron Sentries. As she saw her partner get knocked off a ledge by two Sentries, she rides her motorcycle to destroy the Sentries and save Barton and gives back his prosthetic arm.[1]

Search for Arnim Zola

Barton and Romanoff arrived at the KGB Archive Building, where it has survived from the missiles. From there, they began their search through every box that Romanoff was looking for. While they're still looking for Zola's file, she found a vibranium shield, belong to her late adoptive father, better known as the Red Guardian.

Loki and Black Widow[src]

Unwilling to return to her own universe due to it being destroyed by Ultron, Romanoff was then transported into another universe and placed onto a Helicarrier. She was told by The Watcher that the universe she's now in lost their Widow. She looked around and saw Steve Rogers and Carol Danvers fighting Loki's army. She then spotted Loki confronting Nick Fury and rushed to defend Fury. She kicked Loki to the ground and used the Scepter to incapacitate him. Fury then greeted her, remarking that she wasn't his Romanoff but she shared her spirit. Romanoff then joined Fury's new roster of Avengers.[2]
