A Mysterious Visitor[]
Binary checking on Monica Rambeau
Binary found an anomaly in Monica Rambeau, who randomly showed up in the universe. Further testing from Beast showed that she seemed to be from another world. Maria waited until Monica woke up, surprised to see that Monica was crying and believed Maria was her mother. Beast then walked into the room, explaining how Maria found Monica and how he believed that Monica arrived in a parallel universe by crossing through a tear in space-time. Maria then said she would handle the situation from there, getting up from the bed and simply asking Monica who she was, not knowing why she thought she was her mother.[2]

- In the comics, Carol Danvers was the original Binary. She started using the codename after she was given the powers of a star while out on a space expedition with the X-Men.
