Biography[]

Relationship with Bruce Banner[]

The Hulk[]

Betty Ross was the daughter of General Thaddeus Ross. She dated a fellow scientist named Bruce Banner while working at Culver University. However, during an experiment gone wrong, Banner was subjected to gamma radiation, turning him into a green rampaging monster that Thaddeus felt he had to stop. Thaddeus made this his mission over the next five years.[2]

Reunited[]

With five years of no contact, Betty was met outside of Culver University by Bruce Banner, who wanted to talk. However, their conversation was broken up by Thaddeus and his army. The soldiers then grabbed Betty as Banner hulked out. By the end, Hulk and Betty ran away together to help cure his condition.[2]

Search for a Cure[]

Ross and Bruce Banner arrived at Empire State University to meet with a contact of Banner's, Dr. Samuel Sterns. Sterns had been researching Banner's blood and believed he had a cure. They tried it out, causing Banner to turn into Hulk. Ross jumped on top of Hulk to calm him down, which partly worked as Hulk reverted to Banner and they believed he was cured. Suddenly, Thaddeus Ross barged in and shot Banner, knocking him out and taking him into custody.[2]

Leaving Her Father[]

On a helicopter with an apprehended Bruce Banner, Thaddeus Ross got notified that Hulk was rampaging through the streets. Thaddeus looked back, only to see Banner with him. They soon realized it was a transformed Emil Blonsky. Banner convinced Thaddeus to let him out. When he did, Hulk and Abomination battled while the Rosses watched on a rooftop. When Hulk finished Abomination off, he ran away. Looking at this, Betty told her father that she hoped it was worth it before walking away.[2]
