Since Kingpin organized a manhunt for Ray Nadeem and his family, Matt Murdock and Foggy Nelson decided to keep them out of sight. Nelson asked Brett Mahoney about possible hideout and he agreed to hide them at his mother's apartment. Bess greeted Murdock, Nelson, and the Nadeem family at her house and took them inside. Mahoney gave them fresh sheets and towels and assured Ray that no one knows where they are.
Seema Nadeem then confronted Ray, blaming him for lying and bringing gunfight to their house. Seema told him about the stress that she and their son experienced while the mercenaries were inside their house, and Ray promised her to fix it.[1]
