The Hulk Fought the Mech Avengers?, the starting point for history going differently is shown to be Bruce Banner meeting Sam Wilson in a parallel to when Steve Rogers met Wilson in Captain America: The Winter Soldier. These events can be taken to have happened on the same day as in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, placing them on March 1, 2014 (see 2014 references). It can then be approximated that Wilson and Banner went out on Wilson's boat a short time later, suggesting it occurred approximately March 9, 2014. Apex's birth was an immediate reaction to the boat scene, so it can be taken to be the next day. Approximating a brief period of time for the Avengers' mech suits to be built, it can be approximated that the Avengers were killed on March 17, and that the new Avengers team picked up fighting immediately and defeated the gamma beasts the following day before they could rebuild their forces, March 18, 2014.
A title card places the main events of the episode “Ten Years After the Gamma War.” A weighted calculation places these events on April 22, 2024. - ↑ In What If... The Hulk Fought the Mech Avengers?, a young girl refers to Go-Avenger: Heroes of the Gamma War as an "old show" in approximately April 2024 (see 2024 references). It fictionalizes events which happened in March 2014 (see other references), meaning it must have occurred between then and when the line is said. Given this is only a ten year period, the show must have released within the first third of this time period. It can be approximated that it released at the midpoint of this period, September 19, 2015.
- ↑ In What If... The Hulk Fought the Mech Avengers?, Bruce Banner says, "It's been years since I've had an incident." This can refer to a minimum of two years, and can have happened any time after he left to live in the Astra Islands on March 21, 2014 (see other reason). This event can be approximated to the midpoint of these dates, April 5, 2018.
