"Oh, Phastos, it's inspired!"
The subject of this article is part of an MCU franchise story "inspired" by the canon of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and is thus not considered official canon.

The Battle of the Atlantic Ocean was a conflict between the Kraken and Thena and Gilgamesh.

Background[]

Long ago, a Deviant named Kappa gained the power to control minds after battling Druig. He then used this on many deviants.

Thena and Gilgamesh were on a ship coming from Seville to guide the captain to the "new world". In return, Thena would get the boat.[1]

Battle[]

A crew member yelled that a man was overboard. Thena looked over the edge to see that it was Gilgamesh, who was investigating a sunken ship. He explained that a deviant was there, but left. Thena wondered why it didn't attack Gilgamesh, when suddenly it sneaked up behind him. Gilgamesh was carried down to the bottom of the ocean while he tried to break free. Thena swam down to help and the two attacked the deviant who the crew members thought was a Kraken. Gilgamesh broke free and caught his breath and the surface of the water. He swam over to the captain, who was now overboard and asked him what happened. The captain explained how his men turned on him and pushed him overboard. Kraken then swam to the surface, so Gilgamesh took the captains gun and shot him. They then retreated back under water and found that Kraken escaped and left poisonous ink so that they couldn't follow.[1]

Aftermath[]

Thena and Gilgamesh then realized that the Deviant attacks could be planned as similar things had happened in Heian-Kyo, Korea, and Córdoba.[1]
