The Battle of Heian-Kyo was a conflict between Deviants and the people of Heian-Kyo, with Eternals Druig and Makkari helping the latter.

Background[]

A Deviant given the name Kappa, by the people, terrorized the town of Heian-Kyo. Eventually, the Eternals, Druig and Makkari arrived to help.[1]

Battle[]

Once Druig and Makkari showed up, Makkari went to work with using her speed to run into Kappa, incapacitating him. Heian-Kyo citizen, Yoshiie Minamoto, then shot an arrow at Kappa, giving Makkari enough time to throw a punch strong enough to knock Kappa back. Later, Kappa returned and leapt at Minamoto. Druig got in front of him and took the bite from Kappa, saving Minamoto's life. Druig then apologized before controlling Minamoto's body to severe Kappa's arm.[1]

Aftermath[]

Showing his gratitude to Druig, Minamoto gifted him the Onikirimaru. Although the battle was won fairly quickly, it was the start of a 500 year war. Meanwhile, Kappa, who was not dead, listened from below the dock. Kappa had stolen Druig's power and decided to control more Deviants.[1]
