- "We did it! We really did it!"
"No, don't jinx it! Doesn't anybody here watch horror movies?" - ―Ant-Man and Spider-Man[src]
The Battle of Camp Lehigh was an open confrontation between the Zombie Outbreak Survivor Group and a Zombie horde led by Wanda Maximoff.
Background[]
- "It's Camp Lehigh in New Jersey. S.H.I.E.L.D.'s first base of operations. It could have the equipment you need to fabricate a cure."

As a result of Hank Pym's unfortunate attempt to rescue Janet van Dyne the Quantum Virus was rapidly spread across the United States of America, turning the human population into Zombies. Once the Avengers and the Masters of the Mystic Arts joined the infected, the contagion was proved to be unstoppable. Within two weeks, the regional epidemic became a global pandemic, with the entire world overrun with zombies, leaving only a small group of survivors, led by the Wasp.
After the group rescued Bruce Banner, they discovered a signal from the Camp Lehigh, regarding the possible cure from the Quantum Virus. The group attempted to arrive at the Camp Lehigh on the train from the Grand Central Terminal, however, when they split up, they were attacked by the zombified Falcon and Hawkeye. The survivors managed to fight off Falcon, however, Happy Hogan was infected and later killed. Eventually, Spider-Man managed to jump start the train, so the survivor group was able to escape the zombie horde.
On their way to the Camp Lehigh, the escape train was attacked by the zombified Captain America who infected Carter. Arriving too late to save Carter, the Winter Soldier fought his former friend in a vicious duel until Barnes gained the upper hand and bisected Rogers with his own shield, kicking him off the train. However, the Wasp was infected by Carter before she was killed.[1]
Battle[]
Arriving at the Camp Lehigh, the group witnessed the horde of Zombies surrounding the facility, so the Wasp carried her allies through by turning into a giant, before zombies infected her. The group soon found out that zombies do not attempt to scale the fenced perimeter of the base. They encountered Vision who informed the group that the Mind Stone is able to combat the Quantum Virus and showed them Scott Lang's disembodied head that he was able to cure. Bruce Banner suggested using the satellite system to transmit the Stone's frequency, and Okoye pointed out that this would be possible in Wakanda, the last human sanctuary on the planet.
Meanwhile, the Winter Soldier surveyed the base and discovered T'Challa with an amputated leg and infected Wanda Maximoff. Vision admitted that he was unable to cure Maximoff, due to her powers originating from the Stone as well, but he could not bring himself to take her down, so he decided to feed survivors to her, including T'Challa whom he abducted from San Francisco. Soon after, they were attacked by starving Maximoff who killed Kurt Goreshter and infected Okoye, so Vision helped the survivors to escape.
Vision led the survivors to the Quadjet stored at the facility and ripped the Stone out of his head, giving it to them, so they could cure the virus. Without the Stone's frequency keeping them out, the zombie horde swarmed the facility, so Barnes and Banner left behind to let the others escape. Maximoff tossed Barnes aside and attacked Banner, so he transformed into the Hulk to fight her, while the Quadjet fled out of the hangar. Spider-Man, T'Challa, and Lang attempted to fly away with the Mind Stone, however, the Quadjet was caught by zombified Wasp but T'Challa used the Quadjet's boosters to break free and fly away.[1]
Aftermath[]
- "The world could use a little heart right now."
"And once we get this to Wakanda, we're gonna save the world." - ―Black Panther and Spider-Man[src]
With the Mind Stone in their possession, Spider-Man, Black Panther, and Ant-Man flew to Wakanda to find the way to cure the Quantum Virus. However, unbeknownst to them, Wakanda had already fallen because of the zombified Thanos with five Infinity Stones in his possession who infected all survivors in Wakanda.[1]
