Baskin-Robbins is a chain of ice cream parlors with locations in multiple cities in North America.
History[]
Scott Lang's Temporary Employment[]
In 2015, Scott Lang searched for a job in order to provide financially for his family, only to have his criminal record preventing him from finding one. Adopting the fake identity of Jack, he obtained a job at a Baskin-Robbins shop in San Francisco meeting a colleague named Darby and working under the manager Dale.
One day while Lang was serving a customer who was hard to deal with, he was called by Dale, who told him that he had uncovered Lang's criminal past and involvement in the robbery at Geoff Zorick's Mansion. While he admired Lang's actions and expressed hatred for VistaCorp, Dale fired Lang for lying on his job application, but allowed him to take a free serving of ice cream as recompense.[1]
Celebrating Ant-Man[]
In 2026, Dale again sought out Scott Lang, who was now famous as the hero known as Ant-Man, and celebrated his newfound fame, deeming him employee of the century. Weeks later, Lang returned to Baskin-Robbins, where Dale gave him a cake with an ant drawing on it for his daughter Cassie Lang's supposed birthday.[2]
Behind the Scenes[]
- According to the screenwriter Adam McKay, Chipotle Mexican Grill was originally meant to be in Ant-Man instead of Baskin-Robbins, but the chain of fast casual restaurants didn't appreciate the context in which their brand was used. It was later changed to Jamba Juice, and finally to Baskin-Robbins because "who doesn't like Baskin Robbins?".[3]
