Baelzar studied the Mystic Arts and became one of the most powerful sorcerers in history. Among the spells he created were the Bonds of Baelzar, a powerful shielding spell that, once cast, would be beyond the caster's control. Along with the other most powerful Masters, Baelzar put some of his spells into The Book of the Five in order to pass their knowledge from generation to generation. His past became shrouded with mystery as people began to question whether he was born on Earth. People could tap into Baelzar's power by invoking the sorcerer's name while reciting an incantation from The Book of the Five. Wong invoked his power when summoning the spell to fight Kalkartho.[1]
