The Attack on Victoria Helstrom was an attempt by Basar, using Daimon Helstrom's body, to kill Victoria Helstrom.

Ana Helstrom suffocating her mother
Kthara had possessed Victoria Helstrom for a number of years trying to have a body for herself. However, Victoria's daughter and son always resisted. One day, Ana and Louise Hastings found Kthara on the Garibaldi II. There was an ensuing fight resulting in Ana having the idea to kill her mom. Ana grabbed a pillow and suffocated her mother, killing her in the hopes that they could revive Victoria in the hospital without Kthara inside. This seemed to work. However, Kthara was able to transfer her possession to Gabriella Rosetti, who was marked. As Rosetti, she implanted Basar in Daimon.[2]

Basar chokes Victoria Helstrom
As Daimon Helstrom, Basar arrived at Saint Teresa Center for Mental Health. He then entered Victoria Helstrom's room and greeted her as "mother", before discretely closing the door. A lucid Victoria was happy to see who she thought was her son. Basar stated she was not as happy as he was. Victoria reached out her hand, only for Basar to walk away. She then thanked "Daimon" for everything he has done for her. She then stated it was over, but Basar said it was far from over.
Ana Helstrom kicks Basar
Basar then lashed out at Victoria, grabbing her throat in an attempt to choke her to death. Ana Helstrom suddenly walked in an instinctively pinned who she thought was Daimon to the wall. However, through her powers, she was able to read that it was not Daimon, but instead Basar. As she backed up in horror, Basar tackled her to the ground. The two fought in the hallway, with Ana delivering some kicks. Once Basar was on the ground, she put her hand to his chest to try to incapacitate him. However, this proved too much for her as her veins became black and she fell over. Basar then got up, but Ana was able to use her telekinesis to cause a chandelier to fall on Basar, knocking him out just as Louise Hastings and Caretaker arrived.[3]

The group tied up Basar and tried to figure out what to do with him. Meanwhile, Basar began taunting them, claiming how Gabriella Rosetti was dead. Later, Ana Helstrom gained enough courage to take care of Basar herself. She grabbed her half of the Shard and went to kill him. However, during the fight, Daimon Helstrom took control briefly and told Ana he had to do it himself. He then attempted to exorcise himself, only to be killed.[3]
