The Attack on HYDRA Facilities was a series of attacks carried out by the Howling Commandos against HYDRA throughout Europe in an effort to disrupt their operations during World War II.

Following a successful mission in Berlin, Captain Carter was appointed to participate in field missions against HYDRA. With the Tesseract in his possession, Howard Stark used it to power the prototype battle armor that was given to Steve Rogers, so he could participate as well. The SSR obtained intel about the 107th Infantry Regiment being captured by HYDRA in Azzano. Prisoners of war were located at HYDRA Base Camp C3.

Carter infiltrated the facility and defeated the enemy soldiers, before liberating Bucky Barnes, Dum Dum Dugan, and other US soldiers captured by HYDRA. With Rogers assisting her in the battle armor, Carter took down the entire HYDRA battalion. Carter and Rogers joined forces with Barnes and other soldiers, and formed the Howling Commandos to fight HYDRA.[1]

Together with the HYDRA Stomper and the Howling Commandos, Captain Carter raided multiple HYDRA facilities all across Europe. Using her strength and shield, Carter successfully took down any HYDRA soldier that attempted to confront her. With HYDRA Stomper's help, Carter managed to destroy a squadron of HYDRA bombers in an air battle. Due to Carter's efforts, the war started to tilt in the Allies' favor, to Adolf Hitler's greatest frustration.[1]

Captain Carter loses Steve Rogers

Frustrated with heavy casualties, suffered in the war, Adolf Hitler demanded Red Skull's presence in Berlin, however, he turned against Hitler, killing Roeder and his men. In an attempt to retrieve the Tesseract that HYDRA Stomper used as a main battery of his battle armor, HYDRA organized an ambush. The Howling Commandos received an intel about Red Skull's presence at the Schnellzug EB912 train and attacked, however, the train turned out to be a trap. After an explosion, Rogers was declared killed in action, but in reality, HYDRA captured him and used the Tesseract to open the portal for the Champion of HYDRA.[1]
