The Attack on Diamondback was a gunfight between the Colon Crime Family and Diamondback's henchmen as Domingo Colon tried to kill Diamondback, who managed to survive using his battlesuit.

Domingo Colon called a meeting with Ernesto and Ricardo inside Colon's Gym to discuss their situation following murdering of several criminal bosses. Colon listened as Ernesto insisted that they must take their chance to take care of Diamondback, noting that now that Jacques Alef, Neville Barnwell, Juan Carlos Castro, and Peter Hong were now all dead, this was the perfect time to take over as the leaders in the criminal underworld, which Ricardo agreed with. Colon claimed that with guns, they would be unstoppable and agreed to kill Diamondback.[4]

Diamondback draws his guns at a gunfight
At his hideout, Diamondback was confronted by Domingo Colon and several of his henchmen, who noted that he preferred Harlem's Paradise to this empty warehouse. Colon then revealed that he had come to that warehouse with the intention of killing Diamondback, drawing his guns with men while Diamondback's own men came to his aid, leading to a tense standoff between the two rival criminals while Diamondback remained calm throughout. Diamondback drawn his guns and shooting at Colon, running to the back of the warehouse while a violent gunfight then broke out.
Diamondback finds the battle suit in a crate
While the shootout continued, Diamondback took cover and ran to the backroom, while Colon promised that he would rip his head off. Eventually Diamondback made it to the back where he opened a crate which contained his own battle suit. Stepping out into the gunfight, Diamondback soon defeated his attackers before using the Judas Gauntlet to punch Colon in the stomach and crush his bones before setting off a bomb and leaving any survivors to burn in the now incoming blast.[4]

Colon is dead after his suffered injuries

Eventually, Domingo Colon was found by Luke Cage who managed to pull him out of the warehouse before it was destroyed by a bomb that Diamondback had left behind. Cage questioned what Diamondback had used to do this, and Colon described it as something not even Cage could stop before Colon then died from his injuries. Later, Colon's body was founded by NYPD.
Diamondback tracked Cage down to the Pop's Barber Shop and revealed himself wearing his battle suit. He also saw that Shades was in the shop, who attempted to kill his former employer by shooting him, only to discover that the Battle Suit was bulletproof. Cage and Diamondback faced off, with Diamondback promising that he would soon kill all the others once he had gone through Cage.[4]
