The Attack on Caretaker was an attempt by Kthara to have Caretaker killed in Saint Teresa Center for Mental Health.

Background[]

As a war continued between demons and humans, the humans eventually won the war and decided that the demons would not be given any mercy. This war led to Marduk Kurios marrying Victoria Helstrom, and her getting possessed by Kthara.[3] Among the fighters representing the humans was the family of Caretaker, who had been involved in the war for several generations.[4] Kthara developed a resentment for humans, developing a plan to show them the same lack of mercy she was shown.[3] Victoria Helstrom, and consequently Kthara, was committed to Saint Teresa Center for Mental Health by Daimon Helstrom, who had become concerned after witnessing the long battled between his mother and the demon.[5]

Attack[]

Caretaker visited Saint Teresa Center for Mental Health, and Kthara saw this as a chance to get revenge on the family who had had a major influence in the humans winning the war. She manipulated various board games to send a message to Tooms, asking him to kill Caretaker. Kthara pulled the fire alarm in the building using her telekinetic abilities, leading to an evacuation.

As people left, Tooms charged at Caretaker, pushing him against a reception window. Caretaker attempted to fight back while the window broke, and Louise Hastings saw the attack. She charged at the two, preparing to knock Tooms out, but Tooms instead pushed her to the ground. Caretaker managed to overpower Tooms and throw him to the ground, as security guards subdued him. Caretaker helped Hastings to her feet, noticing that a bottle of medicine had fallen out.[6]

Aftermath[]

The planned lunch date between Caretaker and Louise Hastings was delayed to later that night, and Hastings finally confessed to Caretaker that she had developed cancer. The two agreed to work together and prevent the upcoming danger that could come if Daimon and Ana Helstrom reunite with the rest of their family.[6]
