Atlantis is a mythological city that was submerged at the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean.

Throughout history, Atlantis became a widely known myth about a city that sunk at the bottom of the ocean. Antoine Triplett asked if Atlantis was the location of the hidden city of extraterrestrial origin that S.H.I.E.L.D. was looking for.[1]

- In the comics, Atlantis is both a continent and its capital city, ruled by Namor.
- In ancient times, Atlantis was the last major human stronghold after the Deviants conquered most of the Earth. The Deviants tried to conquer Atlantis; however, the Celestials' Second Host arrived and destroyed the Deviant stronghold of Lemuria, sinking it. This caused the sinking of Atlantis as well, and the event is known as the Great Cataclysm.
- The Marvel Cinematic Universe counterpart of Atlantis is Talokan.
