Friends and Family[]
Locked away in his cell, Loki witnessed Algrim, who had been purposefully captured, being brought to the Asgardian Dungeons by the Einherjar while receiving a visit from his mother, Frigga. Although Frigga came to make sure Loki was comfortable, Loki disowned her as his mother, causing her to vanish when he touched her illusion.[3]

When Algrim was placed in his cell, he broke the Kurse Stone, causing him gain increased strength. In order to get out of his cell, Algrim gabbed another prisoner and used his head to break the cell wall. He then freed the other prisoners causing a prison riot attracting the attention of the Einherjar, the Warriors Three and Thor. Before he left, Algrim passed Loki's cell but decided not to free him, despite this, Loki pointed Algrim to the left stairwell.[3] During the riot, Lorelei escaped and made her way to Midgard.[2]
Loki's Escape[]
Wanting to get Jane Foster off world to prevent Asgard from being in danger, Thor decided to break Loki out of the Asgardian Dungeons. When Thor arrived, he told Loki to drop his illusions and discovered that Loki flew into a rage after hearing the news that their mother Frigga was killed. Thor offered Loki a chance at revenge and told him his plan to break him out of prison. When Loki agreed, Thor broke Loki out and attempted to escape Asgard.[3]
