The Asgard Fresco[1] was a painting present on the celling of the Royal Palace of Valaskjalf that depicted the history of Odin's rule over Asgard.
History[]
- "Look at these lies. Goblets and garden parties? Peace treaties? Odin... proud to have it... ashamed of how he got it!"
- ―Hela to Executioner[src]
The Asgard Fresco originally depicted King Odin and his daughter Hela's Subjugation of the Nine Realms, but when Odin became a more peaceful king, he had a new painting created over the old one that was devoid of his past cruelties. This new painting now featured Odin, his wife Frigga, and his two sons, Thor and Loki, peacefully existing alongside the other members of the Nine Realms.
The revised painting adorned the ceiling of the Royal Palace of Valaskjalf until Hela's Siege of Asgard. Upon arriving in the royal palace, Hela became disgusted with the "lies" of the new painting, using her Necroswords to destroy it, revealing the original panting underneath. The original panting was also destroyed upon the Destruction of Asgard.[2]
