The Arrest of Everett Ross was a disciplinary action made by CIA Director Valentina Allegra de Fontaine to arrest subordinate Everett Ross after he had provided classified information to Wakanda.

Everett Ross developed a trusting relationship with Wakanda, as Shuri saved his life from an attack and he was entrusted with witnessing the nation's secrets.[3]
Ross was contacted by Shuri and Okoye for his help in locating the scientist that created a Vibranium Detector, who revealed that it was not a scientist working for the government, but young student Riri Williams, who had created the device without knowing that it would be seized by the governemnt. Ross reluctantly disclosed her location, which lead to a prosecution by the police and federal agents and a skirmish against the Talokanil
Shuri's Kimoyo Beads were left behind in the attack, and a CIA director Valentina Allegra de Fontaine ordered to install a tracker, suspecting that Ross would use them. As soon as he arrived at the scene, Ross found the beads, without knowing they had been tampered, and used them to contact Queen Ramonda behind de Fontaine's back, lying to her about Wakanda's involvement and protecting the Wakandans.[1]

Everett Ross is confronted by Valentina Allegra de Fontaine
Everett Ross woke up to find Valentina Allegra de Fontaine in his kitchen to confront him about Wakanda's responsibility in the disappearance of Riri Williams, and how President James Ritson was planning on enacting destabilizing measures against Wakanda. de Fontaine revealed they were also aware of Ross' lies, as the Kimoyo Beads he had found were rigged with a microphone, and she had listened to all his treasonous conversations with Ramonda.
Admitting the truth, Ross pleaded with de Fontaine to not attack Wakanda as the Vibranium would be dangerous in the wrong hands. However, eager to obtain Vibranium for the United States, de Fontaine did not attend to reasons and proceeded to arrest Ross, noting she was Director de Fontaine to Ross.[1]
Aftermath[]
Everett Ross is rescued by Okoye in her Midnight Angel Armor
On his way to a prison, Ross' transport was stopped by a fallen tree on the road. As the guards went to check out the roadblock, they were ambushed by Okoye, who used her Midnight Angel Armor to easily overpower and knock them out.
Okoye opened the doors, and a frightened Ross saw the armor wearer. Once Okoye removed her mask, Ross was relieved, and Okoye mocked him, as she considered it amusing to see a "colonizer in chains". Nevertheless, Okoye rescued her friend, now considered a fugitive of the United States.[1]
