Argentina, officially the Argentine Republic, is a country located in the southeastern South America.
History
1943 Coup d'état
On June 4th, 1943, a coup d'état removed President Ramón Castillo from power, after thirteen years of fraud and corruption.[1]

Ava Starr is found at ruins
In Argentina, Elihas Starr researched quantum energy and built Quantum Tunnel. However, experiment went wrong, his daughter Ava Starr tried to run to her father to ensure he didn't die alone, but the tunnel ruptured before she reached him, killing her father and mother and inundating her with quantum energy. When rescue crews arrived, they were unable to touch her as she had become intangible from the accident.
While working on S.H.I.E.L.D., Bill Foster was assigned to investigate quantum anomaly in Argentina. Then he found Starr and took her from the shelter to help her.[2]
Elektra's Murders
Elektra, a member of the Chaste, visited Buenos Aires during her travels. There she killed a pilot.[3]
HYDRA Facility
HYDRA established stronghold in Argentina where they used transmitter to jam enemy coomunications. However, stronghold was taken down by S.H.I.E.L.D. led by Phil Coulson.[4]
