Aphiwe attended Wakanda University and had a class with Assata. Assata told Aphiwe that she was struggling to decide whether she should join the Dora Milaje or the Wakandan Design Group. Aphiwe told Assata to join the Wakandan Design Group, asserting that disabled people like her could not be in the Dora Milaje. Aphiwe smiled as other students shared their similar beliefs.[1]
