Anya was a trainee of the Red Room.
Biography[]
Anya was a member of the Red Room, alongside Yelena Belova. The two apparently became good friends during their time, though their motives and training were radically different. While Yelena was raised to be a threatening killer, Anya was treated as a pawn in the overall program. Anya was unaware of what fate had in store for her or her friend. One fateful evening, Yelena was tasked with accompanying Anya in the woods for pleasure. After leading her far enough, Yelena's handler came out and promptly shot Anya in the head, killing her instantly. While this was meant to further Yelena's status in the Red Room, it ultimately left her with a feeling of grief that she would carry with her for years.[1]

- In the comics, Anya was a Red Room assassin who went by the code name Orphan Maker. Winter Soldier and Hawkeye attempted to get information from her regarding a new incarnation of the Red Room before she was killed by Black Widow.
