Scott Edward Harris Lang is a superhero dubbed Ant-Man, who uses an advanced suit designed to shrink its wearer to a tiny size while increasing one's toughness, agility, and physical strength. During the paradox period where the 17th and 21st Centuries were merged, Ant-Man was a thief banded with Captain America and Winter Soldier. Once Captain Carter sought their assistance in stealing the Scepter, Ant-Man became part of their team, the Avengers, to do so, leading to their collapsing universe being restored to normal.
Biography[]
Robbery of Loki's Cart[]

Ant-Man discovers a chest full of desserts
Ant-Man was a member of a band of thieves working in the forest under leadership from Rogers Hood. He once took part in a robbery against a rich cart transporting Loki and two other ladies. While Rogers Hood and Bucky Barnes plundered the cart, Ant-Man was much more interested in a chest containing various cakes and pastries. He along with his companions was then surprised by the appearance of Captain Carter, who looked exactly like Rogers' deceased lover.[3]
Attack on the Camp[]

Ant-Man celebrating their success
- "Stupid gnats! Hey, shrinking is my thing! I can't stand copycats!"
"Don't worry, Lang, you're core on the market of being a pest!" - ―Ant-Man and Bucky Barnes[src]
Ant-Man and his friends returned to their secret camp in the woods to celebrate the successful robbery. However, they were soon attacked by a group of Royal Yellowjackets commanded by Sir Harold Hogan.

Ant-Man escaping from Harold Hogan
Ant-Man and his companions valiantly defended their hideout against the assailants, while he complained that they shrunk themselves like he did, using his powers to ride a flying ant and fight multiple Yellowjackets. Upon seeing the Yellowjackets falling back, Ant-Man mistakenly believed that they had been defeated, only to realize that they were making way for the Destroyer brought by Hogan. Ant-Man then rode his ant towards the enemies to taunt and distract the Destroyer alongside Carter, enabling the other thieves to escape.[3]
Theft of the Scepter[]

- ―Ant-Man to Bucky Barnes[src]
Having reunited with Captain Carter who had escaped from prison, Ant-Man and his companions infiltrated the Asgardian royal hall, with Ant-Man posing as a musician next to Bucky Barnes, who was annoyed by Ant-Man's poor skill.

Ant-Man fighting against the Einherjar
As a new tear in reality opened inside the palace while Hulk stormed the place, Ant-Man revealed his presence and attacked the Einherjar with his teammates while they attempted to steal Thor's Scepter. Combining his shrinking powers and his swordman ship, Ant-Man was able to subdue several soldiers. He grew anxious, however, as Rogers Hood made the mistake of angering Harold Hogan, turning him into Freak.

Ant-Man saves Tony Stark during the fight
Ant-Man then saved Tony Stark from two Einherjar and escorted him as he carried a machine that would identify the Forerunner responsible for the reality's impending destruction. As the machine was activated, Ant-Man witnessed with sadness in his eyes the leader of his group, Rogers Hood, being identified as the Forerunner and choosing to sacrifice himself to preserve the world he had landed in.[3]
Personality[]
Ant-Man displayed a very joyful personality. Even though he belonged to a group of thieves, he did not express the same interest in money and wealth than his teammates, being more enjoyed at the idea of finding a chest filled with cakes and celebrating with his friends. Even in battle, Ant-Man remained a jovial figure, smiling while facing his opponents. He also apparently enjoyed trading banters with his friend Bucky Barnes. He did however express annoyance at the Royal Yellowjackets since he considered that they merely copied his own powers. Ant-Man also proved his bravery in battle, being willing to face the Destroyer brought by Harold Hogan to enable his friends to retreat.
