The Ancient Village is a village located in Ta Lo.
History[]
Ancient War[]
Once, a long time ago, the people of Ta Lo were at war with the Soul Eaters and their leader, the Dweller-in-Darkness. The war lasted until every village in Ta Lo was destroyed with the exception of one. The villagers fought valiantly, and with the help of the Great Protector, managed to lock the Dweller-in-Darkness behind the Dark Gate.[1]
Ten Rings[]
Following the arrival of Shang-Chi and his compatriots to Ta Lo, the village prepared for the arrival the Ten Rings to defend the village against their assault. They managed to hold off the Ten Rings, but not before Xu Wenwu broke down the Dark Gate and set loose the Soul Eaters and the Dweller-in-Darkness, causing the Ten Rings and people of the Ancient Village to work together alongside the Great Protector to fight them off, eventually killing the Dweller-in-Darkness and bringing the village back to peace.[1]
Remembrance[]
Following the battle with the Dweller-in-Darkness, the people of the Ancient Village had a remembrance ceremony for all of the fallen warriors who had gave their lives to help protect them. Shang-Chi and his sister honored their father and mother, each sending out a lantern to remember them.[1]
