The Ambush in Naro-Atzia was an operation undertaken by Malachi to capture Quake and her team in order to find Leo Fitz.

Background

Battle of Chicago

After Glenn Talbot Absorbed Gravitonium, Shield had tried to convince him to stop his insanity, but failed. After Talbot almost destroyed the Earth, Quake ejected him into Space and stopped his madness but at the cost of Fitz’s life. So a team under Quake’s leadership was formed to rescue the younger cryogenically frozen Fitz before he arrives in the future and eventually dies.

Destruction of Chronyca-2

Meanwhile, Izel and her Shrike invaded Chronyca-2 to find the Di'Allas and Sarge and his crew followed suit to stop her, Izel started the destruction of the planet when she couldn’t find the Di'Allas and as a result hundreds of thousands of Chronicoms where destroyed but Izel escaped at the cost of her ship and crew and Sarge and his crew continused their hunt against Izel.

The surviving Chronicoms under Atarah seized Confederate Ships to use them as a new home in their conquest to travel back in time to save Chronyca-2, after they learned S.H.I.E.L.D. of Earth had done time traveling before thanks to Leo Fitz. Atarah became aware that Shield plans to save Fitz from his death by finding his past self, so she sent her best hunter, Malachi, to find Fitz before Shield does.

Ambush

Malachi arrived to Naro-Atiza and informed Pretorious Pryce of Leo Fitz, lying to him that he his a wanted criminal for tempering with the universe. When Shield arrived looking for Fitz, Pryce was terrified of this, all the sudden Malachi burst out and attacked group except for Pryce, despite Pryce attempts to reason with the Hunter, Davis knocked out Malachi. After some interrogation, Malachi refused to give any information, so Pryce was able to determine that Fitz is on Kitson and he let the group go with the captured Malachi.
