Ambush

As Jessica Jones opened the door, a masked assailant stabbed her in the stomach with a butcher knife. She managed launch him backwards, but then she collapsed on the floor due to blood loss. The assaulter then escaped successfully.

Aftermath

Jessica Jones was injured and in the hospital, where the doctors told her that she now had no spleen. She had only survived because of her superhuman abilities. She was ordered to drink less alcoholic beverages.
