- "Just consider it a good deed from your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man. That's me, by the way, I am, I'm Spider-Man."
- ―Spider-Man to Harry Osborn
Amazing Fantasy is the first episode of the first season of Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man.
Synopsis[]
During high school orientation Peter's life is forever changed. A new era of Spider-Man begins here!
Plot[]

Doctor Strange battles a Symbiote
Peter Parker wakes up late for orientation at the Midtown School of Science and Technology. He quickly gets ready and leaves for the train, but he misses it. His aunt May Parker gives him a ride to school, during which they talk about their shared missing of Ben Parker. At the school, an Inter-Dimensional Portal opens and a Symbiote falls through it. Doctor Strange follows and manages to defeat it, albeit while causing major damage to Midtown. Doctor Strange takes the Symbiote back through the portal while Peter helps Nico Minoru, a girl who was attacked by the Symbiote. When Minoru introduces herself to Peter, he is bitten by a spider that had also come through the portal, passing out.

Spider-Man hijacks the stream
A few months later, Peter has adjusted to his new powers and has created Web-Shooters that expel Synthetic Webbing. He gets ready for school at Rockford T. Bales High School due to the damage to Midtown but misses the train once again. He decides to don his Spider-Man Suit and swing to school, but notices Harry Osborn being chased by muggers down below. Spider-Man helps defeat the muggers and is caught on the livestream of one of the muggers. Harry expresses his gratitude before Spider-Man heads to school.

Peter is late to class, and while talking to Minoru in the hallway, he backs into his crush, Pearl Pangan. She forgives him and departs, prompting a conversation between Peter and Minoru about the former's history with Pangan. Minoru encourages Peter to ask Pangan out before someone else does. In his next class, Peter notices police cars speeding down the road and makes an excuse to leave. He dons his suit and swings after them, noticing they are chasing a van.

Spider-Man stops a van
Spider-Man is able to web the bumper and yanks it off of the car, causing the driver to hit his head on the steering wheel and fall unconscious. With the out-of-control van rapidly picking up speed and headed for a bus, Spider-Man swings in front of it and manages to stop it from hitting the bus, much to the New Yorkers' praise and gratitude. With newfound confidence, Spider-Man swings back to school, determined to ask out Pangan.

Peter Parker and Lonnie Lincoln become partners
Upon his arrival, he attempts to go up to Pangan, but Minoru pulls him aside, revealing that during his absence, Lonnie Lincoln had become Pangan's boyfriend. A week later in their science class, their teacher tells the students to find a partner; Lincoln requests to be paired with Peter. Despite initially thinking Lincoln wanted Peter to do the workload, Peter gets to genuinely know Lincoln and realizes the footballer simply wants to learn from him.

Spider-Man returns stolen money
At the end of the day, when Lincoln returns home, a woman and her son avoid sitting next to him on the train, and he is racially profiled by a police officer. Meanwhile, Spider-Man captures a woman who stole money from a pizzeria but lets her go after learning she had lost her job. To thank him, the owner gives Spider-Man a free pizza. Spider-man retreats to an alley to change back into his civilian clothing, where he finds a new DVD player.

Norman Osborn visits the Parker Residence
Feeling good, Peter walks back to his apartment, finding a fancy sports car parked outside the building. He stops to take a photo with it and posts it to social media before entering his apartment. There, he finds that Norman Osborn, one of the richest men in New York City, is sitting on the sofa with May. Norman introduces himself and extends his hand to Peter for a handshake.
