"That's Macedonian. But the only pharaoh... But, I mean, he insisted on calling himself Egyptian."
Steven Grant[src]

Alexander III (Macedonian: Александар III) was a Macedonian ruler and conqueror who became known as Alexander the Great. While expanding the empire of Ancient Greece, he became the Pharaoh of Ancient Egypt and was chosen by Ammit to be her Avatar, although he later betrayed her.

Biography[]

Building an Empire[]

Alexander III was born and raised in Macedonia. He later became the ruler of Macedonia and began conquering more of Greece, becoming known as Alexander the Great. He eventually expanded his empire to Egypt and became its Pharaoh.[2]

Avatar of Ammit[]

"I once relied on a servant whose Scales balanced perfectly. In exchange, I was bound to stone for 2,000 years."
Ammit[src]

During his ruling of Greece and his conquests, Alexander III believed in and followed Ammit's vision of justice and was eventually chosen as her Avatar. He was used by Ammit to observe human conflict. Later on, Alexander III became disillusioned with Ammit's method of justice and no longer believed in punishing sinners for crimes they haven't committed yet, and then soon betrayed her and helped the Ennead Council imprison her in stone.[2]

Legacy[]

Remembered in History[]

"The bow and arrow once was the pinnacle of weapons technology. It allowed the great Genghis Khan to rule from the Pacific to the Ukraine. An empire twice the size of Alexander the Great."
Raza Hamidmi al-Wazar[src]

Alexander the Great's impact on history was powerful and far-reaching, especially with regard to his conquering of the Achaemenid Empire, and subsequent dominion of the ancient world. His rule was remembered by the Ten Rings terrorist Raza Hamidmi al-Wazar, who remarked on the size of his empire.[1]

Remains Discovered[]

"I think we're looking at the long-lost tomb of Alexander the Great."
Steven Grant[src]

Post-mortem, Alexander III's body was sealed in a sarcophagus and encased in a tomb. His mummified corpse was used as a vessel to hide the ushabti that imprisoned Ammit after the Ennead turned her to stone. His sarcophagus was later discovered by Steven Grant, who begrudgingly desecrated his corpse by prying the ushabti from his viscus to prevent the Disciples of Ammit from acquiring it.[2]

Personality[]

Alexander had once believed in Ammit's vision of justice, in which sinners are punished for their crimes before they can be committed. However, he betrayed his idol, indicating that he had become disillusioned with her methods.
