Ala was a member of the Dora Milaje and the grandmother of Ayo and Assata.
Biography[]
Ala was raised in Wakanda, where she became a member of the Dora Milaje and worked with Okoye. She had multiple children who gave her granddaughters named Ayo and Assata. Her granddaughter Assata dreamed of joining the Dora Milaje. Once Assata decided to follow through with her dream despite her disability, Okoye told Assata that Ala would be happy for her, since overcoming impossible obstacles was the first step to training for the Dora Milaje.[1]
