She sought the help of Kingo, claiming that she wants to save Earth from Tiamut's Emergence, and succeeded in her plan with his assistance. With Tiamut's energy, Harkness became a powerful cosmic being and drew the ire of Arishem the Judge, however, she defeated him and stole his energy as well. Harkness was determined to bring the world to its knees, but Kingo reminded her of a true magic of films and she eventually relented, joining Stark and Kingo at Cosmic Queen premiere.
Biography[]
Stealing Tiamut's Power[]
Making a Movie[]
- "We need to expand this picture to give it that oomph I'm missing. We need more star power."
"A co-star!"
"How can I steal the show when there's no one to steal it from?" - ―Agatha Harkness and Howard Stark[src]
Agatha Harkness discovered that there was a Celestial growing inside of Earth and sought to steal its cosmic energy for herself. To achieve this, Harkness set out to design a spell that could siphon out its power which required her to perform a ritual on a grand scale.

Harkness suggests casting Kingo
Unable to do this by herself, Harkness approached Howard Stark and convinced him to make a movie called Cosmic Queen, which would secretly allow her to execute her ritual. Harkness also encountered some of the Eternals, who she stole powers from and kept them contained in storage on set. However, the spell was not working so Harkness told Stark that she needed a co-star to make the scene better and selected Kingo, knowing that he was also an Eternal.

Harkness filming Cosmic Queen
With changes made to the script, Harkness filmed the new musical number where she had a dance-off with Kingo. The two then began to dance together, where Harkness told Kingo that he was the missing piece, only to discover that Kingo was aware of what Harkness' true intentions were. Kingo warned Harkness against proceeding with her plans, but she refused to stop. Kingo fired at Harkness, which she was amused by and fought back using the powers from the other Eternals until she defeated him, completing the scene they were filming.[1]
Working with Kingo[]

Harkness convinces Kingo to help her
Now alone, Harkness explained to Kingo that she was not the villain, having spared the Eternals and claimed to release them after she saved the world. Harkness told Kingo she needed his help to stop Tiamut the Communicator from destroying the world, believing that he did not fully support Arishem the Judge's plan having spent his life living and contributing to humanity through acting.

Harkness meets Arishem the Judge
After offering a three-picture deal with Howard Stark, Kingo agreed to help Harkness, under the condition that she freed the Eternals. The two were confronted by Arishem, who declared that he would be coming to kill them. Kingo stated that only the power of a Celestial could stop him, so Harkness decided to execute her ritual. They rushed to Stark's mansion, telling him they needed to shoot the finale, which they decided to film in Griffith Observatory.[1]
Cosmic Queen[]

Harkness wielding the power of a Celestial
- "It must feel strange for such a primitive being to suddenly possess a power so cosmic."
"Oh, honey, cosmic is just my size. Haven't you seen the marquee? I'm a star." - ―Arishem the Judge and Agatha Harkness[src]
Harkness instructed Edwin Jarvis on painting the runes for the ritual, and when they spotted Arishem the Judge arriving, they began. With Kingo tied up, Harkness borrowed Kingo's power which allowed her to cast her spell and plunge deep into the Earth, allowing her to steal Tiamut the Communicator's power. Harkness was then transformed into a celestial being.

Harkness steals Arishem the Judge's power
Arishem arrived and insulted Harkness, who confidently replied that she was a star. Arishem claimed that Harkness a heretic and therefore would be judged as one, but she attacked him and the two fought. Harkness was able to cast a spell behind Arishem to bind him, allowing her to take his power. Kingo told Harkness that it was over, but with this new power, she revealed she lied about saving the world and ordered everyone to kneel. Kingo told Harkness that the real magic was in movies which made people adore them. Harkness was moved by Kingo's words and returned to Earth, where they finished their movie, although Kingo warned her of more Celestials coming, but Harkness wasn't scared.[1]
