The Accusers are a Kree military force that served the Kree Empire at least as far back as the Kree-Skrull War.

History

The Accusers served the Kree Empire as a Kree military force, at least as far back as the Kree-Skrull War. In 1995, Ronan the Accuser was the leader of the Accusers.[1]

Mission to Torfa

The Accusers were tasked by the Supreme Intelligence to provide a diversion for Yon-Rogg's Starforce squad by bombing a Skrull stronghold in the southern region of the planet Torfa. Ronan later informed Yon-Rogg that the mission had been a success, inferring that the blame for Soh-Larr's loss was down to Starforce until he was informed that the mission had been a Skrull ambush.[1]

Mission to C-53

After being tasked by Yon-Rogg to bomb Planet C-53, because the Skrulls had supposedly infiltrated the world, Ronan and his fleet of Accuser Warships came to the planet via Universal Neural Teleportation Network to start bombing the planet with Kree Ballistic Missiles. However, Captain Marvel appeared and destroyed the missiles along with one of the Accuser Warships. Realizing that the battle was lost and not wanting to lose more of his troops, Ronan ordered a retreat, but he vowed to return to C-53 one day, for Captain Marvel.[1]

Peace with Xandar

By 2014, Ronan had defected from the Accusers after the end of the Kree-Nova War as he disagreed with the peace treaty signed by the Kree Emperor and the Nova Empire. While he chose to join Thanos as one of his servants, Ronan still kept his title as Accuser.[2]

Trivia

  • In the comics, the Accuser Corps was the Kree equivalent of military governors and jurists. When Ronan the Accuser joined them, he rose through the ranks extraordinarily fast and went on to become the third-most powerful individual in the Kree Empire.
