History[]
Bruce Banner Manhunt[]
Ambush in Porto Verde[]
- "Oh, I've been waiting for this..."
"Hulk throw puny humans at you!" - ―Emil Blonsky and Hulk[src]
Bruce Banner went into hiding in Porto Verde, but was eventually found by a military team lead by Emil Blonsky. The team attacked Banner, triggering a transformation into Hulk. He fought off his enemies and ran into the Pingo Doce Bottling Plant, where he was confronted by more soldiers which he fought off. He continued to navigate the facility, defeating any soldiers he came across. Blonsky himself then confronted Hulk, but Hulk easily defeated him by throwing his own soldiers at him, leading Blonsky to order a retreat. Determined to capture Hulk, Blonsky had himself put through a similar process that which created Hulk, turning him into Abomination.[1]
Battle at Culver University[]
- "This time, you die. Remind me to thank your pal Ross for the added boost."
"Hulk hate Ross!" - ―Abomination and Hulk[src]
Bruce Banner went to Culver University, where he was found by the military and Abomination revealed his transformation. Banner transformed into Hulk as soldiers descended on him and fought all the soldiers. Abomination then arrived and mentioned that Thaddeus Ross was responsible for his enhancement, prompting Hulk to shout that he hated Ross before the two began to fight. Abomination threw rocks at Hulk, who threw them back to hurt him. Hulk did this until Abomination gave up, saying he would get Banner next time as Hulk said he was annoyed.[1]
Duel of Harlem[]
- "I need to get out of here."
"You're mine, Banner!" - ―Bruce Banner and Abomination[src]
Bruce Banner found himself under attack by Abomination again in New York City and tried to flee while Abomination shouted that he would get Banner. Hulk transformed as soldiers appeared around him and started to fight them. He saw more soldiers on the top of the buildings and climbed up, defeating them as well. He returned to street level and defeated more soldiers, then back on top of a building as a military helicopter dropped off more soldiers which Hulk defeated.
Determined to finish the fighting, Hulk approached Abomination, who boasted about his newfound strength and began throwing rocks at Hulk again. Hulk deflected the rocks back to Abomination, who eventually jumped to a higher building as Hulk chased after him. Hulk resumed deflecting Abomination's rocks as more soldiers attacked, and Hulk defended himself from both the rocks and the soldiers. Abomination shouted that Hulk would die and jumped to the next building over, where Hulk continued deflecting rocks and fighting soldiers. Hulk defeated Abomination and transformed back into Banner. Banner told Abomination that their strength is a curse rather than a privilege before leaving.[1]
Search for a Cure[]
Once he was clear from the military's pursuit, Bruce Banner continued his search for a cure for Hulk.[1]
