"I want what you got out of Banner - or else!"
―Emil Blonsky to Samuel Sterns[src]

Captain Emil Blonsky is a captain of the United States army who led a military team in the Bruce Banner Manhunt.

Biography[]

Military Career[]

Emil Blonsky joined the United States Armed Forces and became a part of the special forces. He was at one point injured while serving, earning him a Purple Heart award.[1]

Bruce Banner Manhunt[]

Ambush in Porto Verde[]

"Target is on the move!"
―Emil Blonsky[src]

Blonsky was brought to lead a military team which was set to find Bruce Banner. Kathleen Sparr briefed Blonsky and the team on their target, Bruce Banner, warning that Banner is dangerous and not to see if he would fight. That night, Blonsky led the military team into Banner's apartment in Porto Verde. They burst the door in and found Banner apparently sleeping in his bed, but when Blonsky lifted the blanket, he found pillows instead.

Blonsky and his team chased him into the Pingo Doce Bottling Plant. Suddenly, the team was attacked by a large green monster, Hulk. Hulk hit the soldiers hard, knocking them back, and escaped. Blonsky debriefed what happened to Ross, so Ross explained that the monster was Banner in the result of injecting himself with Gamma Radiation while doing an experiment for the military. Blonsky wanted the extra strength, and thought to ask Ross, so that evening he was injected with a low dose of Super Soldier Serum.[1]

Ambush at the Bus Station[]

Blonsky led a military team to Willowdale, Virginia, where Banner had been found. The team attacked Banner and grabbed Betty Ross, leading Banner to transform into Hulk. Blonsky confronted Hulk with his enhanced strength, but Hulk defeated him and escaped again. Blonsky got hurt and was brought to doctors who told him he would never walk again. However, Blonsky was fully healed quickly and became more determined to find Banner. Wanting something stronger, he received a second dose of the Super Soldier Serum.[1]

Final Fight[]

Blonsky brought a team to Empire State University and shot Bruce Banner with a tranquilizer dart. While Banner was brought into the military, Blonsky demanded that Samuel Sterns make him like Banner. Sterns was scared and injected Blonsky with Banner's blood as Blonsky thought he would become the strongest fighter in the world. However, Blonsky was turned into a large green monster named Abomination that started destroying buildings and creating a havoc in New York City. Abomination was confronted by Hulk, but was able to counter Hulk with more strength. However, Hulk managed to defeat Abomination.[1]
