The Abduction at Rae's Restaurant was a kidnapping operation led by the Chronicom Enoch, who intended to send Phil Coulson and his team to the year 2091 so that they could find a way to avert the prophesied Destruction of Earth.
Background
When a Chronicom anthropologist Enoch learned about the possible Destruction of Earth from Robin Hinton he resolved to act in order to prevent this cataclysm. Enoch tracked down agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Phil Coulson, Melinda May, Daisy Johnson, Leo Fitz, Jemma Simmons, Alphonso Mackenzie and Elena Rodriguez, who can prevent catastrophic, to Rae's Restaurant and led group of soldiers to capture them.[1][2]
Abduction
The White Monolith moments before activating
Soldiers under Enoch's command busted in Rae's Restaurant, where the agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. having dinner together after the defeat of Aida. Believing that Enoch and his men where members of the authorities sent to arrest them after the Attack on the S.H.I.E.L.D. International Inquiry as expected, Coulson calmly greeted them and joked over their dramatic entrance in the diner. Before he could finish the sentence, Enoch activated a device who emitted a high pitched sound and froze Coulson and all the agents in stasis.
Enoch then reminded to his men that the "window" would have closed in less than two minutes, and then ordered them to take the agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. away, save for Fitz, about whom Enoch declared that he was not "on the list". Using Monolith, Enoch transported agents to 2091.[3][2]
Aftermath
Leo Fitz being put under arrest
Leo Fitz was captured by a team of soldiers, led by Lieutenants Evans and Lucas and transferred to Blue Raven Ridge facility. He was interrogated because he was suspected of having helped the other S.H.I.E.L.D. agents to escape.
With Lance Hunter's help, Fitz was able to escape, an together they tracked down Enoch to his residence. He told Fitz about reasons of abduction and brought Fitz to the future to save the Earth.[1]
