Abby Rose is a racer who works for the Stark Industries Racing Team.

Biography[]

Recruited as a Racer[]

Abby Rose was one of the best racers in the world and developed a rivalry with Aiden Julius. She attended a party in Dresden, Germany, when she was approached by Tony Stark, who recognized her. Rose recognized Stark, who revealed that he had paid the band at the party to be quiet since their music was too loud for him to talk to Rose. Rose realized that Stark wanted to recruit her and asked for a lot of money, which Stark said that he had. Rose agreed to join the team and grabbed Stark's hand, telling him to pay the band to resume playing so they could continue partying.[1]

Rose being interviewed

Three months later, Rose raced for the Stark Industries Racing Team and became aware of accidents occurring in races building up to one in the Western Ghats. She was interviewed prior to the race and expressed confidence in her chances. She expressed that Royal Purple had given her a lubricant which would, along with the Stark Industries technology, maximize her car's performance. Rose was asked if the race should be happening due to the accidents, and said that while she is nervous, there has been no evidence of sabotage in the accidents. The interviewer asked about Aiden Julius, and Rose admitted that he is dangerous, and refused to comment on their rivalry. The interviewer proceeded to ask if Rose had seen Tony Stark's Iron Man armor and whether they were in a relationship. Rose said that she is simply a racer, and that if the interviewer wanted to know about Stark, she should ask Stark herself and drove away.

While racing, Rose saw Stark engaged in a fight against the Ten Rings and stopped her car, telling him to get inside. She drove away and said that her car should be faster than the truck that the Ten Rings were driving, but they were joined by Julius, whom Rose said did not know what he was getting himself into. Stark explained that the Ten Rings had an illegal diamond mine and attempted to communicate to Julius, who began firing on them. Rose stepped on the gas as her car jumped over a river. Rose realized that this was connected to the sabotage and that the Ten Rings were trying to prevent racers from discovering the mine, and Stark realized that Julius was with the Ten Rings.

Stark telling Rose to finish the race

Rose determined that they simply had to get to the finish line, where it would be too crowded for Julius to do anything, and Stark began charging his armor and told Rose to drive fast. Rose continued driving and told Stark to hold on, which caused Stark to call her crazy. Forty miles later, Stark again commented on her driving techniques. Stark made another comment fifty-five miles later, prompting Rose to ask him to stop calling her crazy and comment on him being crazy for his work as Iron Man. Forty-five miles later, Stark realized that they are going to make it, and Rose said that he was giving her a raise. With his armor fully charged, Stark got out of the car and attacked Julius's car, causing him to fall unconscious. Stark took Julius and told Rose to finish the race, saying that they would meet for dinner and that whoever gets there second would be the one paying for dinner. Rose drove away as Stark went to finish fighting the Ten Rings.[1]
