- "Don't mind him. We've been around for a hundred years, and he picks the stupidest parts of humanity to be obsessed with."
- ―Fariha to Kamala Khan[src]
Aadam was a member of the Clandestines. Under the orders of Najma, he attempted to steal one of the Quantum Bands from Kamala Khan, only to be killed in battle by Red Dagger.
Biography[]
Exile on Earth[]
Like the other Clandestines, Aadam was exiled from the Noor Dimension and trapped on the Earthly Plane. In 1942, he and the other Clandestines journeyed to India in an attempt to find the Quantum Bands that would help them return home. Aadam stood watch while the others looked for the bangle, and he alerted them of the arrival of the British Armed Forces that started to destroy the ruins they were searching. Aadam thus fled with the other Clandestines, minus Aisha who had left on her own and would not be found by Najma before several years.[2]
Arrest[]
Eighty-three years later, in 2025, Aadam was informed that the bangle the Clandestines were after had been found in the hands of Kamala Khan. Aadam welcomed Khan into his house with the other Clandestines, mocking Kamran's obvious crush on Khan. He explained to Khan that Kamran was different from the other Clandestines, as he was a human hybrid like Khan herself, and not purely a being from the Noor Dimension like Aadam and the Clandestines.
Since Khan was reluctant to help the Clandestines return to the Noor Dimension since it could be dangerous for the Earth, Aadam joined the Clandestines in a mission to force her help them. He and the other Clandestines attacked Khan during her brother's wedding, fighting her in the kitchens, with Aadam knocking unconscious a cook before the fight began. As Kamala was able to hide, Aadam manifested his mace and looked for her. Once Najma was able to force Khan to reveal her presence, Aadam attacked her with her mace, throwing her through a wall.
Aadam kept attacking Khan with his mace, although she was able to block his assaults with her powers. He then chased her as she and Bruno Carrelli attempted to flee after Kamran attempted to stop the Clandestines, eventually cornering them with the other Clandestines. However, Aadam failed to see that a group of agents of Damage Control led by Sadie Deever had arrived as well, and he was hit and arrested by the operatives.[2]
Aadam was supposed to be imprisoned in the DODC Supermax Prison along with the other Clandestines. However, he was able to escape after Kamran incapacitated one of the guards, enabling Fariha to release Aadam from the chains. Aadam reclaimed his weapon from the guard and left the prison, although he was surprised upon learning that Najma ordered them to leave Kamran behind as she wanted him to pay for having sided with Khan earlier.[5]
Fatal Skirmish[]
Along with the other Clandestines, Aadam journeyed to Karachi and took part in an attack on the Order of the Red Daggers' Hideout to retrieve the bangle from Kamala Khan. As Waleed spread gas into the room, Aadam attempted to chase Khan and Red Dagger by smashing a glass window to go after them, but he was incapacitated by Waleed who enabled the two teenagers to flee.
Aadam quickly resumed the chase with Fariha by violently stealing a truck he drove through the streets of Karachi, wrecking havoc on the market he was going through and eventually catching up with the rickshaw the Red Daggers and Khan had used to escape. However, Aadam's truck was directed by Khan onto a hard light platform she had manifested to protect a family, causing the truck to crash. Aadam and Fariha thus went on foot and managed to find Red Dagger, though he was able to escape after Khan smashed Saleem with another truck.
Aadam kept running after the teenagers, eventually finding them in a dead end. He attacked Red Dagger with his mace and was able to throw him onto thr ground, but he was then taken down by Khan, after which Red Dagger was able to distract him by causing clothes to fall on the ground. As a result, Aadam was unable to see Red Dagger sneak behind him and stab him in the back, killing him.[5]
Personality[]
As a Clandestine, Aadam was willing to go to great lengths to be able to return to the Noor Dimension, including hurting teenagers like Kamala Khan and Bruno Carrelli, not hesitating to attack them with his mace. He was shown to be even more unhinged than his fellow Clandestines during his fights, as he often had a savage smile upon chasing Khan and Carrelli. He was also described by Fariha as being not as serious as the other Clandestines, taking interest in aspects of humanity that she deemed futile such as video music clips on the internet.
