Biography[]

This is an in-depth biography of AJ. For an abridged overview, see Marvel Database's article on the same character.

Early Life[]

"You don't know what happened these last five years. I was alone with two babies and I survived."
Sarah Wilson to Sam Wilson[src]

AJ was born to Sarah Wilson and an unknown father, and grew up with his older brother Cass. In 2018, he survived the Snap, but his uncle, Sam Wilson did not.[2]

Uncle Sam's Return[]

By 2024, Sam Wilson had come back to life, astonished at how much AJ grew. Sam came back to Delacroix once in a while to help. AJ and Cass greeted and hugged Sam when he arrived following a mission. Later, AJ and Cass helped fill up canisters of food as Sarah Wilson wanted to sell food for money. Sam and Sarah then left for the bank. The boys were watched by Liu and were told to not play video games. The boys jokingly said they were still going to play them. When the two relatives left, the boys counted to three before going to play.[2]

Sam came back once more just as Cass and AJ were getting ready for school. When they came back home, they found Captain America's Shield. As kids do, they immediately picked it up and started playing with it. When they heard Bucky Barnes say hello, they quickly put it back and ran away. They then watched Sam train with the shield. Cass chased Sam as he was running, then traced the star on the shield with his finger, proud of his uncle.[3]

Party[]

Uncle Sam returned to Delacroix having defeated the Flag Smashers and becoming the new Captain America. They then threw a party in celebration. AJ and Cass playfully attacked Bucky Barnes, fake punching him as he jokingly threatened to throw a cake at them. AJ then hung off of Barnes' metal arm, which Barnes was able to hold up with his strength.[4]
