Multiverse Discovered
"He discovered that there were universes stacked on top of his own..."
The subject of this article comes from an alternate universe connecting to the main timeline of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This universe is designated by the Marvel Cinematic Universe Wiki as "Temporal Loom Destroyed".

"Science fiction is a well-respected and thought-provoking genre."
―A.D. Doug[src]

A.D. Doug, Ph.D. was a writer and theoretical physicist.

Biography[]

Early Life[]

A.D. Doug was a part-time writer on a branched timeline and lived in Pasadena, California. He became a scientist and taught theoretical physics at Caltech, and worked to earn a Ph.D. so that he could keep his job. However, he aspired to become a full-time writer. He eventually got married to a woman.

Doug went on to write and publish a science-fiction novel called The Sons of Yoren, which he claimed to be his most popular work of all time. He also wrote a sequel called The Zartan Contingent.

In 1994, A.D. Doug began placing his books at a bookstore several times, attempting to purchase his own work to get approval from one of the librarians, in hopes it would eventually be put up for sale in the shop. One day, after he tried to purchase a copy of his book, much to the confusion of a worker who didn't know him, a librarian who had previously encountered Doug told him to stop. She then stated that nobody liked science-fiction books in the area. The librarian made Doug leave the store and take all of his books with him, much to Doug's disappointment.[1]

Meeting Loki[]

This section needs a rewrite

When Doug was at his workplace, Loki time slipped to Doug's timeline, scaring him. Doug deduced that Loki was probably one of his fictional characters come to life, though Loki quickly told him about the urgent situation at the TVA, and how Doug was actually named Ouroboros, but had been "reset" after the Temporal Loom was destroyed. The two eventually figured out they would need everyone that was present at the Loom's destruction, as well as a TemPad, to repair the damage that had been done. Unfortunately, Doug did not have the knowledge needed to create a TemPad. Loki then remembered that he had the TVA Handbook on him, which would help Doug build the device using the tools he had.

Over the next 19 months, A.D. Doug worked on building a TemPad at his workplace, though he lost his job and was divorced from his wife as a result of dedicating so much time and effort to the project. The TemPad, however, was a more bulky and more primitive version than the one used by the TVA, and the Timedoors created by it was glitchy.[1]
