The 57th St. Ballet Company is a ballet studio in New Orleans.

In preparation for an upcoming concert at Orpheum Theater, Rick Cotton bought two tickets to the recital. However, his tickets were stolen by Tandy Bowen, who raided his house. Due to her love for ballet, Bowen attended the event herself, but ended up watching it from above the stage in the catwalk. Bowen looked down on the dancers, wishing she could be one of them.[1]
