This is a timeline of events that occurred in the 2010s on Earth-838, an alternate universe where Doctor Strange assembled the Illuminati.

2012[]

3rd[]

Stephen Strange has an x-ray of his injured hands taken after suffering an accident that left his hands severely damaged.^[1]^[2]

2015[]

15th[]

Doctor Strange unites the Illuminati in order to make hard choices for the universe with Earth's greatest protectors: Professor X, Captain Carter, Black Bolt, Captain Marvel and Mister Fantastic.^[3]^[1]

April[]

29th[]

Tony Stark creates Ultron, an artificial intelligence intended to protect the world. The Ultron Program is successful and Ultron creates the Ultron Sentries to peacekeep the Earth. With the planet now safe from any potential extraterrestrial threats, Stark and the Avengers, including Wanda Maximoff, retire from superheroics.^[4]^[5]

Doctor Strange, worried about the upcoming conflict with Thanos, uses the Darkhold to dreamwalk across the Multiverse, attempting to find a way to defeat Thanos. Strange inadvertently causes an Incursion, leading to the destruction of an entire universe.^[1]^[7]
Battle of Titan: The Illuminati use the Book of Vishanti to battle and kill Thanos, using his Double-Edged Sword to impale him. Following the battle, Doctor Strange reveals to the other Illuminati members what he has done.^[1]^[7]
Execution of Doctor Strange:
- Doctor Strange allows the Illuminati to execute him
  
  As a result of Strange's actions, the Illuminati decide to execute Strange. Captain Carter, Captain Marvel and Professor X say goodbye to their friend and former teammate, as Mister Fantastic holds Strange's Cloak of Levitation.^[1]^[7]
- Strange tells the group that he is ready, so Black Bolt speaks, saying "I'm sorry" to Strange, causing Strange to be destroyed by Boltagon's voice.^[1]^[7]

5th[]

Stephen Strange's funeral is held. Christine Palmer attends and, inspired by Strange's actions, begins working for the Baxter Foundation.^[1]^[8]
Due to Strange's death, Baron Mordo is given his spot on the Illuminati, and his role as Sorcerer Supreme.^[1]^[8]
