1982[]
March[]
1st[]
- Using the late He Who Remains' TemPad, Sylvie Laufeydottir arrives in Broxton, Oklahoma. She looks around, taking in the desolate fields before finding a McDonald's. Walking in, Laufeydottir finds Jack at the counter and asks how she could order. Jack asks what she wants only to get confused at her answer of no squirrels, possums, or rats as well as something that is dead and nothing with a face. Jack simply tells her that she could try their Chicken McNuggets. While he lists off more food, Laufeydottir zones out and looks around at the happy families and friends at their tables. She then exclaims that she wants to try it all.[2][3]
- Laufeydottir applies for a job at McDonald's and gets it, starting her new life in Broxton.[4][3]
April[]
7th[]
- Trying to search for Sylvie Laufeydottir, Hunter X-05 arrives on a branch timeline and finds her. However, he sees that Laufeydottir has made a name for herself in her own timeline and decides not to approach her. Instead, he leaves and starts his own life on the Sacred Timeline.[4][3]
30th[]
- Sylvie Laufeydottir buys a Ford truck for herself.[4][3]
May[]
16th[]
- Sylvie Laufeydottir goes to work and refills the straw dispenser.[4][3]
- Hunter X-05 brings Mobius M. Mobius and Loki to where he found Laufeydottir. Outside of McDonald's, Mobius threatens Wolfe with torture if he is lying, prompting Wolfe to assure Mobius that Sylvie is there. However, he is clearly worried and tries to head back to the Time Variance Authority Office. Mobius forces him to come inside the restaurant with them. Loki talks privately with Mobius and says that if Sylvie is there, he will do the talking and find out what she knows.[4][3]
- Loki walks into McDonald's and sees Sylvie get asked by Jack to refill the straw dispenser, which says claims she has already done. Sylvie serves Bill with a smile on her face that quickly fades away once she sees Loki. As Loki approaches Sylvie, Wolfe talks about how tense the room is and asks Mobius if they could go back to the TVA. Mobius refuses, saying he wants apple pie.[4][3]
- Loki meets Sylvie at the counter and can only muster up a weak hello. He asks her if they can talk. Laufeydottir grants his wish, saying that her break is in five minutes. She walks away without another word.[4][3]
- Loki waits outside until Sylvie walks past him with a drink in her hand, saying she has a short break, so he should talk fast. Sylvie sits on her truck trailer while Loki struggles to start a conversation. He says he does not want to cause trouble, but explains that he was being pulled throughout time by Time Slipping and he saw Sylvie in the future at the TVA. Sylvie tells him that she wants to see the TVA burn to the ground, but she has no intention of returning. They then argue about the future and if it is already written, just like the TVA thinks. Loki goes on explaining how if the TVA is gone, then there is nothing holding back the destruction of the Multiverse, including Sylvie's branch.[4][3]
- Meanwhile, Mobius sits down with Wolfe and enjoys his apple pie. Wolfe ignores him and is still very impatient about how long Loki and Sylvie's conversation is. Mobius then tells him that the two Lokis are practically the same person, so they had a complicated relationship. Wolfe agrees. Wolfe then tries once more to try and get out, saying he kept up his end of the bargain and wants to be brought back on the Sacred Timeline. However, Mobius wants to talk about how great life is because before, they were arguing and Mobius basically tortured Wolfe, but now they are enjoying a meal like gentlemen.[4][3]
- Mobius asks Wolfe to tell him about The Zaniac!, but Wolfe knows he does not think it is interesting. Wolfe then goes on a tangeant about how it is not a horror movie, but an elevated thriller, then tells Mobius to get his own tickets as he would not be providing him with them. Wolfe then tells Mobius they could pack up their food and go. This leads Mobius to get annoyed that Wolfe wanted to get back to his timeline and now he wants to get out of McDonald's, leading Mobius to realize something is happening.[4][3]
- Meanwhile, Sylvie gets tired of Loki and tries to get back to work only for Loki, inviting judgment from Loki. Mobius and Wolfe then walk outside with Mobius saying Wolfe wanted to tell them something. Wolfe ignores this, saying that they are all invited to a screening of The Zaniac! sequel. Mobius and Loki start interrogating Wolfe until he cracks, saying that if they stay there, they were all gonna die and so was everything else in the world.[4][3]
- Angry, Sylvie pushes Wolfe up against a car and reads his mind, seeing that General Dox is planning on attacking the branching timelines with Reset Charges, meaning many branches would be destroyed soon. They all leave through a Timedoor to stop it.[4][3]
- Sylvie returns to the timeline, having saved some branches, but not all. At night, Sylvie sits on the hood of her truck when Jack walks by to check in on her. Jack asks if she will be in the next day, and Sylvie confirms that she will. She asks if he needs a ride, but his mother is coming. She then says bye and activates the TemPad she took from He Who Remains.[4][3]
17th[]
- Sylvie Laufeydottir leaves her timeline once again to kill a Variant of He Who Remains named Victor Timely.[5][3]
- Sylvie Laufeydottir returns to her timeline despite the Attack on the Time Variance Authority Office and resumes her work at McDonald's.[6][3]
- Loki time slips in front of McDonald's and gets pulled away to another time.[6][3]
- Sylvie leaves McDonald's at the end of her shift and got to her truck, placing down her dinner before opening the door. Suddenly, she realizes her dinner has disappeared. Making her even more confused, Loki suddenly arrived behind her. Loki tells Sylvie that what he is about to say will not make sense and she does not know who he is. Dumbfoundly, Sylvie tells Loki of course she knows who he is. Loki apologizes, saying he thought the conversation would go differently. Suddenly, Loki time slips, scaring Sylvie, who asks for them to get a drink.[6][3]
- Arriving at Sylvie's usual bar, Loki explains his experiences finding his friends in their lives on the timeline, which Sylvie suggests is a good thing. They debate whether the agents deserve the option to return to the Time Variance Authority, and Sylvie expresses her desire to live. Sylvie gets Loki to admit that he wants his friends back. Sylvie says that they should be able to stay in their timeline as they have a life now, confusing the bartender who had asked what drink they want.[6][3]
- Sylvie then says that they both seem to be selfish. Loki opens up, saying he does not know where he belongs without the TVA. Sylvie just tells him that since they could write their own stories now, and that he should write his own and leaves.[6][3]
- Sylvie goes to unwind at Rooster Records and says hi to the employee, Lyle, who is happy to see her. She looks through records and says she had a rough day, so Lyle gives her a recommendation. She takes it and places the record into a player to listen. Sitting down on the couch now, she relaxes and feels the music relate to her.[6][3]
- Unbeknownst to Laufeydottir, the universe gets ripped apart due to the Temporal Loom's destruction. Everything starts going through spaghettification and Sylvie does not see until it's too late as Lyle is pulled apart rushing to her her. Sylvie realizes what is happening and uses a Timedoor to escape just before she dies.[6][3]

When Sylvie first arrives, the trees around her are lush, suggesting the scene is set in Spring or Summer, the earliest month which matches the trees shown for Broxton being March. She then goes to McDonald's, where Jack says, "You can try our new Chicken McNuggets." Chicken McNuggets debuted in 1981, suggesting that this scene should occur earlier in 1982. To best satisfy both the weather and Jack's line, it can be taken that Sylvie arrived as early as possible, March 1, 1982.
In Breaking Brad, Sylvie is shown to have bought a fifth generation F series Ford truck by the time Loki and Mobius M. Mobius arrive to talk to her. Approximating the amount of time it would take Sylvie to save up sufficient funds to buy such a truck, which had fell out of production in 1972, it can be approximated that Sylvie would have bought it in late April 1982, and then gotten found by Loki later that month, approximating the Breaking Brad scenes in 1982 to May 16, 1982. Hunter X-05 discovering Sylvie's location can then be approximated to the midpoint of these dates, April 7, 1982.
In Science/Fiction, Sylvie is shown to have been returned to her timeline when she left and to have had a full day of working since the store closed at the end of Breaking Brad. These scenes can therefore be taken to have occurred the day after Breaking Brad, May 17, 1982. - ↑ 4.00 4.01 4.02 4.03 4.04 4.05 4.06 4.07 4.08 4.09 4.10 4.11 4.12 Loki: 2.02: Breaking Brad
